Modern Arnis Kombatan

Kombatan

Kombatan is a Filipino Kali fighting style that was developed by Great Grandmaster Ernesto Presas Sr. in the eastern Negros province of the Visayas.
Ernesto, founder of the Filipino Mano-Mano style, resides in Manila and teaches at the University of Santo Thomas and high school as a seminar speaker throughout the Philippines, Europe and America.
Kombatan is a system composed of classical and modern fighting systems used in the Philippines.
The Kombatan student is introduced to the various systems through a complete immersion in the methods of combat and partner work.

Particular emphasis is placed on a series of repetitive exercises that prepare the student to react instinctively to certain attacks. Students are encouraged to develop their own personal fighting style using Kombatan concepts.

Level

The class is suitable for both beginners who have never tried the practice and advanced students.
