The Sport Service in collaboration with Renato Muneratti, a qualified physiotherapist, offers USI students and collaborators the possibility of a physiotherapy service directly on the USI/SUPSI University Campus.

Who I am
My name is Renato Muneratti and I am a qualified physiotherapist, recognised by the SRC, who has been active in the field for more than 30 years. My passion for sport, which started as early as 1980 by playing basketball at the A and B series level, has stimulated me to learn my multi-sectoral training in the field of rehabilitation.
Education & Experience
After graduating from university, I started working in hospitals and in various private practices in Malcantone. I worked for over 10 years with the Military Clinic in Novaggio (now EOC) and was responsible for physiotherapy at the Kurhaus in Cademario. In 2002 I opened a private physiotherapy practice in Ponte Tresa. My training is continuous and up-to-date.
Why hire a physiotherapist
The intervention of the physiotherapist is curative and above all preventive, whether in the event of injury or illness. A professionally experienced and qualified figure, in these cases, is fundamental for an adequate, timely, controlled and targeted rehabilitation course in every respect.
Approach and results
A multidisciplinary approach for the patient is crucial; doctors, therapists, nutritionists, coaches and massage therapists must work together for a single goal.
Services
My services are recognised by the Swiss Red Cross and therefore accepted by all health insurers and insurance companies.
We welcome patients with or without a doctor's prescription, Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. in my physiotherapy office in Piazzetta Stazione in Ponte Tresa, by appointment, and at USI in Viganello in the Sport Service room on Campus Est, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12 noon to 6 p.m.
Home treatments in Malcantone and the Lugano area, by appointment.
Prices:
- In the studio: official health insurance or insurance rates, reimbursed by them with a certificate;
- At Campus East USI/SUPSI: Fr 90.00 per treatment, payment in cash or twint;
- At home: Fr 90.00 + transfer, payment in cash or twint.
Other services
- Discount to be agreed for private treatment packages;
- Assistance in the Sport Hall with strengthening equipment: on request and times (Mondays and Wednesdays) as required;
- Organisation of small rehabilitation or therapeutic groups.
