SUP Fitness

A 1-hour stand-up paddle fitness lesson led by the specialised instructors of the Sport Service. Exercises in strength, balance, coordination and endurance will be offered on board the stand-up paddle on the waters of the Ceresio.

Exercises performed on an unstable surface such as water make execution more complex, stimulating a greater ability to balance and control one's body. 

Level

It is mandatory the ability to swim in open water. The class is intended for users with an advanced intermediate fitness level. If you have any doubts about the possibility of participating in the class, please contact us at sport@usi.ch.

The meeting point for the class is at the Circolo Velico Lago di Lugano, where an instructor from the Sport Service will welcome you and give you all the information.

Equipment

The Sport Service provides all equipment (Stand-Up Paddle, paddle, safety jacket). Please arrive with swimming costume, Lycra T-shirt, sun cream and slippers. Changing rooms with showers are available.

The Circolo Velico provides lockers for the storage of personal effects, however the use of a personal padlock is required. If you do not have your own padlock, you are therefore advised to avoid carrying valuables.

Partecipation

The user must be in possession of a valid "Class and Games" subscription, and it is compulsory to book every single appointment offered via the calendar or directly on the dedicated App.

To register for Sports service activities, it is essential to have a MyWellness account; in its absence, proceed by filling out the following registration form.
