Mendrisio swimming pool

The City of Mendrisio promotes physical activity by providing access to the indoor swimming pool at the Canavee School Centre in Mendrisio at a reduced price.

Through a collaboration with the Sport Service, students of the Academy of Architecture can obtain special passes for access to the Canavee Pool in Mendrisio on certain days and times. From November 2024, administrative collaborators of the Accademia of Architecture in Mendrisio can also access the pool at certain times.

Two cards are available, the 'yellow' and the 'green', each with specific advantages.

Yellow card

The 'yellow' card, which is subject to payment, entitles the holder to access on the following days and times:

• Tuesday: 20:15-21:30
• Wednesday: 12:00-13:00
• Thursday: 19:00-21:30

The card is reserved for students of the Academy of Architecture in Mendrisio and costs 40 CHF.

Green card

The green card, which is available free of charge, allows access only on Thursdays, in the time slot between 19:00 and 21:30.

Administrative collaborators of the Academy of Architecture in Mendrisio

Administrative collaborators of the Academy of Architecture in Mendrisio can use the Canavée swimming pool free of charge on Mondays and Fridays from 11:30 to 12:30, by showing their badge. At these times the facility will only be accessible to USI administrative collaborators and SE teachers at the Mendrisio school.

When

The pool is only accessible between Thursday 10 October 2024 and Thursday 8 May 2025.
Outside the times listed above, access to the pool is not permitted.

The pool is closed on public holidays and during the following school holidays:

• From 26 October to 3 November 2024
• From 21 December 2024 to 6 January 2025
• From 1 to 9 March 2025
• From 17 to 27 April 2025

Registration and collection

In order to obtain a card, it is necessary to deliver to the Academy of Architecture's reception desk the enclosed document "Richiesta tessera dati anagrafici" duly completed, a medical certificate for the absence of fungal or viral plant diseases (to be obtained from the pharmacy) and a passport-size photograph

By presenting the required documents, it will be possible to obtain the 'green' card or purchase the 'yellow' card with payment in cash or by card directly at the reception desk, during the counter opening hours: 10:00. - 12:00 and 13:30-15:30.
