Swiss University Championships 2025 - Congratulations to our athletes!

From May 02 to May 4, 2025, the Swiss Universities Games (Swiss Universities Championships) were held as usual at the National Youth Sports Center in Tenero (CST). 

During the event, more than 900 student-athletes from universities and Universities of Applied Sciences across Switzerland competed in six disciplines to vie for the title of Swiss university champion.

The USI/SUSPI delegation participated in the event with its young athletes (27 athletes and 13 female athletes) in the categories of men's soccer, men's and women's volleyball and fit challenge. 

These were intense days dedicated to sports, but also an opportunity to interact with male and female students from all over Switzerland and share different experiences and cultures. 

Congratulations to the soccer team for their excellent achievement, taking a historic 2nd place in the men's soccer tournament. Congratulations also to the volleyball and Fit Challenge teams for their achievements.

Here are the results of the USI/SUPSI delegation at a glance: 

• MEN'S SOCCER = 2nd place (out of 11 teams)
• MALE VOLLEYBALL= 5th place (out of 10 teams)
• FEMALE VOLLEYBALL= 6th place (out of 11 teams)
• MEN FIT CHALLENGE = 10th place (out of 13 participants)
• FEMALE FIT CHALLENGE = 6th place (out of 9 participants)
