Swiss University Sports Forum 2025 - Three days of sport, training and networking
From 4 to 6 May 2025, the National Youth Centre in Tenero hosted the Swiss University Sports Forum, the annual meeting that brings together the Sport Services of all Swiss universities (universities, polytechnics and UAS).
The 2025 edition was organised by the Sport Service of the Università della Svizzera italiana (USI), which welcomed around 70 participants including directors, coordinators and instructors from the Sport Services of universities throughout Switzerland.
For three days, the participants had the opportunity to meet, exchange experiences and explore topics related to the world of university sport, in a stimulating and collaborative environment.
The event opened on Sunday evening with a conference on “The evolution of fitness with new technologies”, held by Dr. Silvano Zanuso, Scientific Director of Technogym and adjunct professor at EC University in Perth (Australia).
Monday opened with a muscular awakening activity, followed by a series of practical and educational workshops dedicated to professionals in the sector. The topics covered included sports, outdoor fitness, postural disciplines and social group activities.
Experts from each field led the sessions, offering practical insights and new perspectives to enrich university sports activities.
On Tuesday, the day was devoted to specific workshops on sports trends and innovations to be brought to Swiss universities in the coming years.
Concluding the forum was the conference on the “Development of the CST sports infrastructure”, given by Bixio Caprara, Director of the Tenero Sports Centre and Deputy Director of the Federal Office of Sport (FOSPO).
Heartfelt thanks go to all the participants for their enthusiasm and contribution, which made the success of this edition possible. The baton is now passed on to our colleagues at the University of St. Gallen, who will host the 2026 edition of the Swiss University Sports Forum.
