An evening of sport and fun with the 2nd Pickleball Tournament

Following the success of the first tournament in the autumn semester of 2025, here is the second Pickleball tournament, open to all enthusiasts – beginners and experienced players alike – for an evening of sport, fun and team spirit! 

There was great enthusiasm for the tournament held on Monday evening, which saw 24 participants from the USI/SUPSI community come together for an evening of sport, fun and camaraderie. Over the course of more than three hours of non-stop play, the participants competed in a lively and engaging atmosphere, confirming once again the growing passion for pickleball within the university community. 

But pickleball doesn’t take a break, even in the summer! From June 2026, summer sessions will be held every Tuesday from 6.30 pm to 8.00 pm at the SME in Viganello, on the outdoor courts. We look forward to welcoming anyone who wants to discover or continue playing this wonderful racket sport, which is perfect for having fun, getting some exercise and socialising.

Prizes for the top three pairs:

• 1st prize: 6-month subscription Fitness Room/Classes & Games* or a Camp Weekend in Airolo
• 2nd prize: 3-month subscription Fitness Room/Classes & Games* or a 50% discount on a Camp Weekend in Airolo
• 3rd prize: Fitness Coaching or BIA Check

*Prizes can be chosen for one of two locations: Lugano or Mendrisio.

• 1st prize: 2 days of activities of your choice at the Airolo Winter Base + 50% off for a companion
