Enjoy two days on the snow dedicated to technique, fun and the mountains!
The courses are led by qualified instructors and include 2 hours of lessons per day, designed for everyone—from complete beginners to those who want to improve turns, control and confidence on the slopes.
The rest of the day is dedicated to free practice or relaxation.

Course Levels

Beginners
For those who have never skied/snowboarded before or have only taken their first steps and are not yet able to perform a snowplow turn.

Novice

Ski: able to perform a snowplow stop and the basic elements of the snowplow turn on blue slopes.
Snowboard: able to descend blue slopes using a sideslip in the fall line and take the magic carpet.

Intermediate Level

Ski: able to perform a snowplow turn on red slopes.
Snowboard: able to perform frontside and backside turns on red slopes and use the ski lift or button lift.

Extra Hours

Additional lesson hours can be added on-site
(10 CHF/hour).

Personal Equipment

Participants must come with appropriate sports clothing for the activity.
We recommend dressing in layers for outdoor activities — further information will be provided to participants before the event.

Accommodation and Meals

Overnight stay at the Casa della Sostenibilità in Airolo, in 6-bed rooms.
Breakfast and dinner are included and organized on-site.
Any food intolerances or allergies must be communicated at the time of registration.

Want to help us be more sustainable?
Bring your own bed linen set (pillowcase 50×70, mattress cover 80×200, and duvet cover 140×200).
Alternatively, you can rent a complete set on-site for 15 CHF.

Transport

The Sports Service offers all participants train transportation to and from Airolo — an eco-friendly choice that reduces environmental impact and ensures a comfortable journey for everyone.
During the weekend, the Airolo–Andermatt (round trip) transfer will be organized with group trains at specific times.

• USI/SUPSI students: 90 CHF
• USI/SUPSI staff and faculty, USI Alumni, students from other Swiss universities: 130 CHF
• Accompanying persons/family members, SUPSI Alumni: 160 CHF

At the time of purchase, the participant’s university card category (student, staff, or faculty) will be used as the official reference.

Refund policy

• 100% refund upon presentation of a medical certificate
• 80% refund within 2 weeks of the camp
• 50% refund within 1 week of the camp
• No refund less than one week before the camp, as in the case of non-attendance
• If the Sports Service cancels the camp due to bad weather or organizational reasons, participants will receive a full refund of the amount paid.
