Handball
Handball is a team sport that combines speed, technique and teamwork. It requires skills such as coordination, agility, strength and the ability to make quick decisions, making it an intense and exciting sport. Particularly popular in Europe, handball is played at both amateur and professional levels and features in the Olympic Games programme. Thanks to its dynamic pace and strong team spirit, it is enjoyed by athletes and spectators of all ages.
The Sport Service offers handball in collaboration with the Pallamano Ticino association, the regional organisation responsible for promoting the sport in Ticino Region.
Level
A good level of fitness is required. However, the activity is also open to those who have never played handball before and would like to try the sport for the first time. If you have any doubts about your suitability to take part, please contact the sport’s contact person.
When
Every Wednesday from 6.45 pm to 8.15 pm
This activity takes place only during the university teaching semester.
Please note: During Ticino school holidays, the gym is closed and training is therefore suspended.

Equipment
You must wear indoor trainers and sportswear. Please bring a bottle of water (or an isotonic drink) and a towel.
Changing rooms with showers are available at the Sport Hall.
