Pickleball

Pickleball

New for summer 2024, the Sport Service has included a new discipline that is very fashionable in the USA and Australia. Pickleball is a racquet sport that reworks some of the techniques and rules of tennis by playing on a Badminton court.

The racket is smaller and more compact than a tennis racket, resembling a padel blade. The ball is very light, made of plastic and has holes in the surface, which slows it down in favour of the convenience of the game.

Level

The activity is suitable for all levels and no knowledge of the game is necessary. A Sport Service instructor will organise the game according to the number and level of participants.

When

The courses will start in June 2024 and continue throughout the summer.

For a more direct view, please filter by discipline in the appropriate windows at the top of the list.
The Sports Service reserves the right to make changes and/or additions during the above-mentioned periods.

Where

The activity takes place on an outdoor field and is therefore subject to weather conditions. In the event of bad weather, the activity may be suspended.

Equipment

It is compulsory to arrive in trainers and sports clothing. Bring a bottle of water (or isotonic drink) and a towel. As this is an outdoor discipline, it is recommended that you bring a hat to protect you from the sun and a sweatshirt in case of low temperatures or temporary inactivity.

Changing rooms with showers are available in the East Campus Sports Hall. Sports equipment for playing is provided by the Sport Service.
