Complete bio Dalila Gervasoni

I have been passionate about dance since a very young age. As a child and teenager, I explored various styles, attending classes in ballroom, Latin, and boogie dance.

It was around the age of 14 that I discovered country dance – and instantly fell in love with it. Unfortunately, at that time, I couldn’t find a suitable school or structure to follow regular courses, so I had to put that passion on hold.

Over the years, I continued dancing in a more informal way. I gained experience as a group dance animator during events and local celebrations, mostly self-taught and driven by pure enthusiasm.

Only recently did I decide to fully commit to my passion. For the past year, I’ve been studying country dance in various schools with the goal of obtaining an official instructor certification.

At the same time, I launched a pilot course at USI (Università della Svizzera italiana) to test the level of interest in country dance within the university community – and the response was very encouraging.

Today, I’m excited to continue growing as a dancer, share this joyful discipline with others, and help bring country dance into new contexts, including the academic world.
