Complete bio Paola Lombardi

Paola Lombardi, born in Rome on 8 March 1973. I’ve always loved dancing and, since I was a child, I attended modern dance classes. Shortly after coming of age, I moved to Lombardy, and had to give up dancing in order to work. I got married and had children, but dance was always on my mind. One day, I came across a flyer for a country dance class, decided to give it a try, and instantly fell in love with it.

I’ve now been dancing country for 15 years. When I started, country dancing was just beginning to emerge in Italy, and it was difficult to find places to dance outside of lessons. So, a group of friends and I formed a small community and would practise together in a basement. Not long after, I chose to attend specialised training courses to improve my technique, and later earned my qualification.

The following year, I began teaching purely out of passion, and it turned out to be a fantastic experience. That encouraged me to continue, with the aim of sharing my passion with others.

Today, my husband and I have successfully created our own dance school—JACK & JACK—with over 200 members. The school is fully equipped with a DJ and all the necessary gear to host events featuring both national and international choreographers, open to all dancers.

We take part in competitions at various levels, both in Italy and abroad, achieving excellent results. In the meantime, we continue to attend refresher courses so we can stay up to date and always offer our students the very best.
