Trekking - Sunset on Monte Boglia

Description

By van, we will leave from the East Campus Court and reach Brè village. We will then follow the path towards Monte Boglia and the ascent will take about 2 hours with an altitude difference of 716 metres. At the top of Monte Boglia we will observe the sunset and once the sun goes down, we will take the path back to Lugano. We will face the descent at night with lights on our foreheads.

Level

The scenic route is of medium difficulty and requires good physical preparation. It is important to consider your presence according to the physical effort and commitment required. In case of doubt and/or questions, please contact us.

Material

• Comfortable walking shoes (no tennis shoes or trainers).
• Carry an ergonomic rucksack (20-30 litres) to store clothing, packed dinner and supplements.
• Dress in layers with good ventilation for the ascent.
• Wind stoppers and warm clothing for the descent.
• A rain cape in case of rain.
• Headlamp (to be used after sunset). In case of need, it is provided by the Sports Service.

Dinner

• Bring energy snacks and an isotonic drink or water bottle.
• Dinner is not included, each participant must organise his or her own packed dinner (space in personal rucksack to be considered

Cancellation/refund

• By 08 May 2023: 80% refund
• By 12 May 2023: 50% refund
• Thereafter: no refund

The Sport Service reserves the right to cancel the event in the event of weather conditions preventing the course from being held and/or if there are not enough participants.
