Free bike check-up with the Sport Service

Looking ahead to the start of the 2026 Bikecoin Challenge which, from 1 October to 15 December, invites the USI community to choose cycling or walking to work together towards a more sustainable transport system, the USI Sport Service is organising a bicycle check-up session, open to the whole USI community.

In the event of bad weather, the event will still take place in the entrance hall of Sector D.

Participation

The health check-up is open to the whole USI community, and you do not need to take part in the challenge.

Useful information

During these two hours, you can have your bike checked and prepared as effectively as possible for your daily journeys. The Sports Service technicians carry out a full check of the main safety features on every bike: play in the steering and wheels, the condition and pressure of the tyres, the condition of the handlebar grips, the efficiency of the brakes, saddle adjustment, and the presence of reflectors, a bell and lights. Depending on the time available, minor maintenance tasks will also be carried out, such as inflating tyres and lubricating the transmission. The service does not include the replacement of parts; should more complex repairs be necessary, the technicians will provide guidance and advice on how to proceed independently by contacting a specialist shop.
