SUP, sailing and canoeing - Nautical Base AVC Figino

USI students and collaborators can rent sailing boats, SUP boards, canoes and related equipment (paddles, life jackets and some neoprene wetsuits) from the Vela Ceresio Association in Figino.

The offer is intended exclusively for USI community (students and collaborators), SUPSI users are invited to contact the Servizio Carriera, esperienza e orientamento at sport@supsi.ch.

Prices

To rent the equipment, membership of the Vela Ceresio Association of Figino is required at an annual cost of 80 CHF. A deposit of 70 CHF is also required to collect the access key to the venue.

Liability and insurance:

Each user assumes full responsibility in the event of accidents or damage caused to the equipment or infrastructure. For more information, please read the regulations.

Rental conditions:

SUP boards may only be used by AVC members who are up to date with their membership fees and have attended the Stand Up Paddle introductory course. Boats must be returned to the venue by 6 p.m. at the latest unless otherwise agreed; SUPs before darkness falls.

Material available:

• Sailing boats:

  The boats that can be used are those positioned close to the fence on the lakefront side to the left of the boat exit gate and the three dinghies positioned on the side bordering the private house (see pictures).

  The boat's equipment must comply with current legal regulations: equipment such as paddle, votazza, red flag, whistle, tow line; life jackets must always be worn.
   

• Tavole da SUP:

  The SUP available for use are only those in the horizontal rack indicated with an asterisk in the attached image. 
  
  For SUPs, it is mandatory to have a jacket at least on the board, preferably worn. Do not exceed the safety zone of 150 m from the shore, not least because beyond 150 m from the shore speedboats can sail at high speed and you are therefore particularly exposed to risks. 
  The use of the boat and the Stand Up Paddle is subject to the registration in the logbook (available on the premises) of the departure time and subsequently the return time.
   

• Canoe Sitton top:

  The available canoe is the yellow one highlighted in the attached image with an asterisk.
