"Self Care" Project

We are excited to introduce you to our initiative under the major corporate project “Health and Safety in the Workplace” within this, the Sport Service is integrated with the “Self-Care” project, designed to promote the well-being of employees through a full approach to taking care of oneself.

With great pleasure, we inform you that these appointments will be held during working hours and will be offered free of charge to all employees, both academic and administrative.

In the coming semesters, the project will focus on four key themes: 

  1. Back Wellness: March - May 2025
  2. Fit heart: September - December 2025
  3. No stress: March - May 2026
  4. Nutrition & Movement: September - December 2026

Back Wellness Cycle - 9 Appointments (March-May 2025)

Starting in the spring semester 2025, we are inaugurating our course with the theme “Back Wellness”. The proposal is structured over 9 practical appointments organised in mini-classes of 5/6 participants.

Objectives: 

  • Reduction of stiffness in the cervical, back, and lumbar region.
  • Improvement of posture and greater body awareness.
  • Muscle elasticity and relief from postural tension.
  • Psychophysical relaxation.

  • Lugano

    Postural improvement

    A mini-class with a comprehensive approach aimed at balancing muscle tension and improving posture. Using an adjustable bench (Pancafit ®), decompression and stretching exercises are performed in a position to unload the spine.

    • Dates: March 10,17 and 24, 2025
    • Time: between 9 a.m. and 12 noon and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., duration 50 minutes per appointment
    • Instructors: Alessio Manfrè, Fabia Martinelli, Nicola Keller
    • Location: Classes Room – Sports Hall East Campus

    Movement and Fluidity: continuing to improve posture

    This session, with the help of the Pancafit ®, is a natural continuation of the first phase and focuses on postural improvement and the benefits derived from it. The main objective is to work on the mobility of the back stretch, lengthening of the posterior muscle chain, pectorals and cervical muscles, in order to contrast rigidity resulting from incorrect postures and find well-being and fluidity in daily movements. 

    • Dates: 7,14 and 28 April 2025
    • Time: between 9 a.m. and 12 noon and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., duration 50 minutes per appointment

    • Location: Classes Room – Sports Hall East Campus 

    Back Yoga

    Proper breathing leads to proper posture: simple exercises to learn from your breath to manage the effects of stress and sedentary living. 

    • Dates: 12,19 and 26 May 2025
    • Time: between 9 a.m. and 12 noon and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., duration 50 minutes per appointment

    • Location: Classes Room – Sports Hall East Campus

Please note that participation in the appointments is reserved for those who are truly motivated to complete the entire cycle of nine meetings

The number of places available is limited and will consider the order in which registrations are received. Should we not be able to confirm participation to all those interested, the possibility of repeating the training cycle soon will be discussed with the management.
