Yoga retreat by Paola Elia, August 28/30
Yoga, a slower pace and renewed energy, accompanied by the power of stories. The Ostello dei Cappuccini in Faido is located within the historic Serafino Seminary, next to the Capuchin monastery dating back to 1607. A simple and welcoming place, ideal for slowing down and focusing on oneself. Yoga practice will be at the heart of the retreat, complemented by moments of quality: time for otium, walks in nature and dips in the waterfall.
The session is open to all levels. The seminar will focus on Heinrich Zimmer’s book Myths and Symbols of India. Deeply influenced by C. G. Jung and symbolic-psychological thought, Zimmer explores the significance of myths and sacred images as tools for practising and understanding inner experience. Myth, art and ritual are not merely decorative elements here, but tools for guidance in the exploration of the self.
