Three days dedicated to cross-country skiing, combining technique, nature, and fun.
An unmissable experience for those who love the mountains in winter and want to discover (or improve) the art of gliding over snow surrounded by breathtaking scenery.
A unique opportunity to enjoy the alpine atmosphere and experience two days of sport, nature, and togetherness.
Day 1 – Cross-country skiing in Val Bedretto
Nestled among the snow-covered mountains of Ticino, Val Bedretto is the perfect place to learn or refine your cross-country skiing technique. Along the trail that winds through forests, pastures, and the Ticino River, you’ll experience the thrill of gliding over snow in an authentic and peaceful alpine setting.
Throughout the day, participants will enjoy technical exercises, free practice sessions, and scenic breaks to fully embrace the magic of winter in the valley.
Technical details:
- Location: Val Bedretto (Bedretto – All’Acqua)
- Altitude: approx. 1,400 m a.s.l.
- Level: suitable for all (easy to intermediate trails)
- Total duration: full day (with lunch break)
- Trail length: about 6.5 km
- Activity: classic and skating techniques, depending on snow conditions
Day 2 – Cross-country skiing in the Ursern Valley (Andermatt)
In the beautiful Ursern Valley, stretching from Realp to Andermatt, you’ll enjoy a cross-country skiing experience amid some of the most iconic landscapes in the Swiss Alps. The perfectly groomed trails run through a wide valley surrounded by majestic peaks, offering gentle sections ideal for improving technique while taking in the stunning scenery.

- Location: Ursern Valley (Realp – Andermatt)
- Altitude: approx. 1,450–1,500 m a.s.l.
- Level: suitable for all (easy to intermediate trails)
- Total duration: full day
- Trail length: about 28 km
- Activity: classic or skating technique, depending on level and snow conditions
Depending on terrain and weather conditions, the program may be subject to changes.
Personal equipment
Participants must come with sports clothing suitable for the activity.
We recommend dressing in layers for outdoor activities; further information will be provided to participants.

Accommodation and Meals
Accommodation at the Casa della Sostenibilità in Airolo, in shared rooms of 6 people.
Breakfast and dinner are included and will be organized on-site.

Help us be more sustainable!
Bring your own bedding set (pillowcase 50×70 cm, mattress cover 80×200 cm, and duvet cover 140×200 cm).
Alternatively, a complete set can be rented on-site for CHF 15.
Transport
The Sports Service offers all participants train transportation to and from Airolo, an eco-friendly choice that reduces environmental impact and ensures a comfortable journey for everyone.
During the weekend, group train transfers between Airolo and Andermatt (round trip) will be organized at fixed times.
Important note:
The Airolo–Andermatt train ticket is not included in the camp fee.
The cost is 10 CHF (round trip) and must be paid directly on site.
For organizational reasons, it is mandatory to book your seat at the time of registration.
Ticket requests received less than 4 days before the start of the camp cannot be accepted
Price
- USI/SUPSI students: 70 CHF
- USI/SUPSI staff and faculty, USI Alumni, students from other Swiss universities: 100 CHF
- Accompanying persons/family members, SUPSI Alumni: 130 CHF
At the time of purchase, the participant’s university card category (student, staff, or faculty) will be used as the official reference.
By proceeding with the purchase, the user accepts the instructions and rules of conduct of the Sport Service, available in the section "Attachments".
Refund policy
- 100% refund upon presentation of a medical certificate
- 80% refund within 2 weeks of the camp
- 50% refund within 1 week of the camp
- No refund less than one week before the camp, as in the case of non-attendance
- If the Sports Service cancels the camp due to bad weather or organizational reasons, participants will receive a full refund of the amount paid.
To proceed with your refund request, please contact the Sport Service by email, indicating the event and the reason for cancellation. Refund conditions will apply based on the date of the request.
