USI/SUPSI/Franklin Padel Tournament - 28 November 2026

Following the success of the first edition, the USI/SUPSI/Franklin Padel Tournament returns with an even more exciting second edition, designed to bring together students, staff, and sports enthusiasts for a day of competition, fun, and camaraderie.

This year, the tournament introduces two different participation categories, designed to welcome players with different levels of experience: competitive and recreational.

Participation Categories

The tournament format is designed to involve participants of all levels, from experienced players to those who simply want to challenge themselves and enjoy some time together.
 

Competitive Category

The competitive category is intended for players who have a good understanding of the game and wish to test their skills in a more competitive environment. Registration is open to pairs, with a maximum of 24 participants (12 pairs). The tournament consists of an initial group stage and a final knockout stage. There are no separate categories by gender.

Recreational Category

The second option is the recreational category, organised in a Rodeo format and open to everyone, including beginners and those who have never played padel before. Participants do not need to register with a partner, as pairs will be formed on the day and regularly reshuffled throughout the event. Maximum number of participants: 24.

Equipment

Showers and changing rooms are available at the facility. Participants must wear sportswear and appropriate footwear for padel.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own padel racket. However, the Sport Service will provide rackets free of charge for those who need one.

Registration

To register, please send an email to Alessio Manfré, indicating your preferred tournament category, level of experience and university affiliation (student or staff).

After sending the email and receiving confirmation of participation, the registration fee must be paid at the Sport Service desk during opening hours (09:00–12:30). Registration is only confirmed once payment has been received.

Refund Policy

• 100% refund upon presentation of a medical certificate;
• 80% refund for cancellations communicated at least 2 weeks before the tournament;
• 50% refund for cancellations communicated between 2 weeks and 1 week before the start of the tournament;
• No refund for cancellations communicated less than 1 week before the start of the tournament or in case of non-attendance.

To request a refund, please contact the Sport Service, indicating the reason for cancellation. Refund conditions will be applied based on the date the request is received.
