FLOWA training

Flowa training

Accompanied by music, FLOWA training is a continuous movement practice that ignites awareness and trains to use kinetic forces, body weight, counterforces or letting go, as driving forces to gain more willingness and pleasure in movement. The instructor offers images that guide the flow, stimulating creativity, challenging postural and movement habits, overcoming mental patterns, fears and preconceptions.

FLOWA training is ideal for developing elasticity, stability, muscle tone, explosiveness and gentleness, helping to eliminate stagnant or harmful movement habits in a deep yet fun, multi-sensory and physically augmented experience.

Level

The training is suitable for all levels. It is as valuable a tool for professionals working with the body as it is for those new to exploring movement, improving efficiency and protecting against overload or injury.

When

Every Thursday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the ABCenter at Via Trevano 29 in Lugano.

Other formats, times and places, including online, are communicated in a pop-up manner via a Whatsapp communication group. To receive this information, contact Manuela at 079 747 76 63.

Equipment

Come dressed comfortably to encourage maximum availability for movement. The workout takes place barefoot and with eyes open. Bring a water bottle to use before and after the workout and if necessary, during.
Showers are available at the ABC.e.

Partecipation

It is possible to participate whenever one wishes, without the need for continuity or regularity over time. Transmitted tools are increasingly being integrated and incorporated with regular participation, but can have benefits even with occasional participation.

To participate announce yourself by text message to 079 747 76 63. It is recommended to arrive early: classes start on time.

The contribution is free.

The teacher

Led by Manuela Bachmann Bernasconi, dancer, choreographer and pedagogue, FLOWA training develops from Gaga movement language, in which she trained under Ohad Naharin in Tel Aviv between 2010 and 2019.
FLOWA training integrates concepts from Tai Chi and Chi Gong, the Alexander technique and techniques derived from contemporary dance such as the release technique.
