Winter Sports Base - Andermatt
Courses
A week, organised at the SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun ski resort, dedicated to the disciplines of skiing and snowboarding for those with an intermediate or advanced level, with the possibility of trying out freeride, telemark and cross-country skiing.
The Sport Service organises a skiing week at the National Winter Sports Centre in Andermatt, during which instructors from the Sport Service accompany you to discover the vast ski area. For those who wish, there is also the possibility of skiing independently.
Optional technical courses are also organised during the week for a fee. Registration and payment for this extra activity is to be made directly on site.
Accommodation
The following accommodation arrangements are possible:
- Casa Gotthard with shared bathrooms on each floor
- Casa Gemstock with private bathroom
Food
Breakfasts and dinners are included in the price and will be organised at the 'Macolina' canteen. Any intolerances or allergies must be reported at the time of registration.
Activity
During the camp, half-day advanced courses in skiing, snowboarding, telemark and cross-country skiing are organised and conducted by the Sport Service team.

Transport
Transport is to be organised individually.
To reduce the environmental impact, we recommend travelling by train on the Lugano-Andermatt route. The accommodation is approximately 5 minutes' walk from the station. We recommend the 06:30 train from Lugano, which can be purchased at this link.
Alternatively, there will be a limited number of parking tickets available for students to park outside, at a cost of CHF 5 per day.
By proceeding with the purchase, the user accepts the instructions and rules of conduct of the Sport Service, available in the 'Attachements' section.

Registration and payment
Once you have created your MyWellness/Technogym account and accepted the new privacy policy, you can proceed with the purchase by contacting us by email or by phone.
Please note that the number of participants is limited and the order in which registrations/payments are received will be taken into account. It is not possible to reserve places in advance without making payment.
In the case of telephone contact, all users interested in purchasing are requested to have a valid credit/debit card and access to the institutional email address with them, as these are necessary to finalise the purchase. In order to complete the registration, payment must be made during the call itself.

Refund conditions
Refund conditions
- Reimbursement of 100% upon presentation of a medical certificate
- Reimbursement of 80% within 3 months of the event
- 50% reimbursement within 2 months of the event
- No reimbursement less than 2 months of the event, as for non-attendance
To proceed with your refund request, please contact the Sport Service by email stating the event and the reason for cancellation. Refund conditions will be applied according to the date of the request sport@usi.ch

Winter camp equipment
Personal equipment
We recommend dressing in layers for outdoor activities:
- Breathable inner layer, long thermal underwear in synthetic fibre or merino wool to maintain warmth and have greater breathability
- Intermediate layer fleece or light insulating jacket, calibrate it according to the padding of your ski/snow jacket
- Outer layer your ski/snow jacket and trousers, we recommend windproof and waterproof suits (e.g. Goro Tex)
- Towels
